Abstract

ABSTRACT Micro polar theory is useful in investigating materials like glass fiber, granular materials and certain type of rocks where materials consist of barlike molecules which exhibits micro rotational effects and which can support bodyforces and body couples. In the present paper I have discussed difference betweenclassical elasticity, thermoelasticity, generalized thermoelasticity ,micropolar elasticity and generalized micropolar thermoelasticity. Some special deformations of elastic bodies due to internal and external forces are discussed.
