Abstract
Crime is a well known concept and it is a negative approach by nature. It is very harmful to any society. Crime against women is also a very serious problem of the contemporary world. The rate of crime against women is increasing very rapidly day by day. India has witnessed an increase in crimes against women over the past few decades due to various economic, cultural, and social factors. This crime is also increased in the state of Punjab, especially the sexual offences including rape cases.
