Abstract

A study of nurses in the rural and urban region was conducted and measurements were made of employee engagement levels of the nurses. A descriptive study using the UWES was conducted and the analysis using t-test shows that there is no significant difference across the parameters of vigor, dedication and absorption for male and female or urban and rural nurses. The average scores shows only a larger difference with respect to gender and vigor. Otherwise, the averages remain quite close to each other.
