Abstract

According to Webster's Dictionary the definition of a noble is, "High station or rank I especially, that distinction of rank in civil society which one derives from noble ancestors or from a title conferred"1. According to Sir Thomas Roe, "nobles are nothing but to voluptuousness and wealth confusedly intermingled.2 "Athar Ali defines the term nobility in these words, "It generally denotes the class of persons who were officers of the king and at the same time formed the superior class in the political order.
