Abstract

The children of today are the citizen of tomorrow. That’s why children are considered to be the backbone of the Nation. The nation‘s development can only be when its citizens are conscious towards the development of children. It is widely acknowledged that literacy helps to achieve high economic growth. This boon of education should be received equally by abled and disabled according to their potential or capacity. To enhance the contribution of disabled children and to remove the myth of them being burden in the society, the concept of Inclusive education is incorporated. So, they will be accepted in the mainstream without any prejudice or barrier. Enrolment of Children with Special Needs in the regular school strengthen two important Fundamental Rights which are provided by our constitution to our citizen. Firstly, the right to ‘equality of opportunity’. Secondly, the right to free and compulsory elementary education. This will help in providing quality education to the disabled lot with their peer group.
