EFFECT OF MEDITATION ON BATTING ABILITY IN THE GAME OF CRICKET

Abstract

The aim of study was to determine the effect of meditation on batting ability in the game of Cricket. The study was confined to thirty male young school going Cricketers randomly selected from school of district Ghaziabad and age ranged from 14 to 16 years. The students were tested on batting ability before meditation exercise provided. Different types of picture meditation were provided to the subjects for thirty minutes daily for 30 days. The batting ability purely focus on concentration, the subjects played for three over’s and the subjective batting ability measurements were done by the three specialist, According to their opinion and scoring system researcher can measure the batting ability of Cricketer before and after meditation treatment. The data were collected twice. The pre test and post test was conducted by the three specialist. In order to investigate the existence of significance was set at 0.05 levels. On the basis of the result obtained from the present investigation it may be concluded that meditation technique has an effective role in developing Cricket batting ability of the school going players under 14 to 16 years of age group.
