COTTON GROWERS’ OPINION LEVEL ABOUT THE EXISTING COTTON MARKETING SYSTEM: A SPECIAL REFERENCE WITH KRISHNAGIRI DISTRICT IN TAMIL NADU

Abstract

This paper comprised the details on the cotton growers’ opinion level about the existing cotton marketing system in the study area. An efficient marketing system ensures high level of income to the growers by reducing unnecessary cost and with better price. It is known fact that there would be an association between the growers’ opinion and their involvement in the farm activities. On the other hand, Socio-economic conditions wise, the collected data sources vivid that the growers were dissatisfied with the existing cotton marketing system. Surely, they disappointed with existing cotton marketing system. Against this background, the present study is an attempt to examine the cotton growers’ opinion level about the existing cotton marketing system in Krishnagiri District of Tamil Nadu. The findings also show that the majority (61.20%) of the sample growers are less satisfied with the existing cotton marketing system
