Abstract

In developing countries, industrial development plays a key role to boost up socio-economic development that lays the foundation for economic growth and development. The industrial sector, especially the pulp and paper industry, constantly undergoes changes which in turn influences the growth pattern of a country as a whole. These industries are very significant for generating employment and enhancing socio-economic wellbeing by promoting balanced regional growth. India is not an exception on this front in general and the State of Nagaland in particular. In the State, the Nagaland Pulp and Paper Company Limited (NPPC) occupies a special status in the absence of large scale industries. This paper is an attempt to scrutinize the financial performance and study the growth trend of Nagaland Pulp and Paper Company Limited (NPPC) in Nagaland.
