WOMEN EMPOWERMENT IN INDIA: CONTRIBUTION OF DR. B.R. AMBEDKAR

Abstract

This paper is an attempt to know the contribution of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in the empowerment of women in India. Through this paper, we shall know about the endeavours made by Dr. Ambedkar for the betterment of Indian ladies. He was one of the earliest Indians who tried to break down the hindrances in the method for the progression of ladies in India. He set out the earnests endeavors by classifying the basic Civil Code for Hindus and different sections of the Indian culture. The status of ladies in India is understood as irregular and changing in like manners the age. In the ancient period, she appreciated higher status and pride while the later period, she was limited with confinements and impediments and stay as an effigy in the hands of man-centric society and religion. In the present scenario, a development against the distress of ladies is beginning and still the endeavors are being made to free from the grip empower to appreciate human rights dependant on social equality. Dr. Ambedkar attempted his best to make women’s life equal to men. He demanded Hindu Code Bill proposing the fundamental upgrades and revisions in the get-together. He additionally asked and evoked all the parliamentary individuals to pass the bill in parliament.
