Abstract

Corporate Governance Disclosures means the disclosures an organization is required to make in public about the structure, transactions and managerial decisions of the organization. These disclosures define the transparency an organization has in its management and corporate actions. These disclosures create an image in public and show that organization abides by the corporate governance norms. The corporate governance disclosure index is constructed using sixty-nine independent variables. The relation between corporate governance and NBFCs performance is analyzed based on various variables through the checklist method. The index can be used to measure corporate governance disclosure level in NBFCs in India.
