IMPACT OF EMOTIONAL STABILITY AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC STATUS ON ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT

In the present study given the immense importance and relationship between personality factor emotional stability and socio-economic status on academic achievement of the high school students of Chhattisgarh state. Students were randomly selected from different high schools of the selected area. A sample of 320 (both boys and girls) students was selected and in this study “Emotional Stability test for children” adopted from A. Sen Gupta and A.K. Singh(1994) to measure the emotional stability, Socio economic status scale constructed and standardized by Rajbir Singh et., al and record of academic achievement was collected from the school record. Subsequently the data were subjected to statistical analysis with the help of two-way ANOVA. Results indicated that interactional effect of not significant relationship between emotional stability and academic achievement of high school students of Chhattisgarh State.
