Abstract
A study of savings and investment behaviour of teachers in Pathanamthitta district. This paper is used to identify the major savings and investment avenues currently used by the teaching community, also to examine the problems faced by the teaching community in respect of their
current savings and investment behavioural patterns and also to know the level of awareness of teachers on investment avenues. 50 respondents have been selected following convenient sampling method. Questionnaires were used as data collecting instrument. Data was analyzed using tabulation, percentages. The important factor which influences the investment decision is Safety. Uncertainty about the future is also another factor of saving and investment behaviour of teachers.
