In the age of globalisation, the participation of non-state actors in world affairs is highly dominant. The intensification of economic and social trade and the advent of new models of international governance has given them much greater prominence to play a key role. A number of economic, social, legal (and illegal), old and new actors, such as labour unions, diasporas, religious movements, transnational corporations and organized crime, terrorist groups, etc., are analysed by non-state actors in world politics. The paper is an attempt to understand the types of Non-State Actors (NSA) and their role in world politics, especially in the West Asian Region. The paper also tries to understand the theoretical understanding of NSA. Lastly; paper also analyses the characteristics of Violent NSA and their activities.
