A new scheme started by Congress Party for collecting votes is National Food Security. Food Security means something more than getting two square meals. This Scheme has three dimensions/ aspects or we can say it is dependent on the pillars of 3 A’s: Availability of Food: Means food prod. Within the country, food imports and the previous year’s stock stored in govt. granaries. Accessibility of Food: means food is within reach of every person. Affordability of food: implies that an individual has enough money to buy sufficient safe and nutritious food to meet one dietary need.
