Economic reforms of 1991 may the way of Foreign Direct Investment to enter the Indian economy. FDI is one of the important source of development in the developing countries, it help in bring close the different economies of the country by investing resources, technology in the host country . The paper seeks to present with the openness of Indian economy in 1991 for global entrants how its impact the manufacturing sector of the country and how it affect the employment, productivity, export of the country. It analysis growth of economy and manufacturing sector in particular due to liberalization of economy and what more should done to increase the growth of economy.
