Abstract

This Article reviews the Electricity Industry Reforms (EIR), giving a perspective about the main driving concepts on the reorganization of the Electricity Industry (EI). The generic competitive models of the EI are explained with emphasis on the role and functions of the EI market actors. The EIR is the business process reform that demands that new requirements be met by the IS at the EICC, which is the main reason for defining the emerging information process to be performed at the EICC
