Abstract

Information and communication technologies play a vital role in supporting the requirements and expectations of the teacher- learner on large scale. Its role in teaching-learning support services in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) is a proven fact now. The distance education system responded positively and quickly to the revolution in ICT. TheICT tools and technologies help to meet the requirements of a learner at various phases of learning; the admission phase, the learning phase, the evaluation phase and finally the certification phase as a service.
