Abstract

The OECD Guidelines for Consumer Protection in the Context of Electronic Commerce (OECD, 1999) advocate that consumers should receive the same protections when shopping online as when buying goods or services via traditional methods. The 1999 Guidelines served as a model for developing the E-Commerce Best Practice Model.
