Abstract

A library and research plays an important role in the field of education and research. Education and library are twin sisters either of whom cannot live apart from the other. Education means neither more literacy nor stuffing the mind with crammed up knowledge. Education is the process of developing a complete personality: physically, intellectually and spiritually. The success of the student’s performance in various examinations is directly proportional to the success with which they exploit the resources of the library. Therefore, higher education is the art of acquiring the knowledge of using a library to the best knowledge. The word library derived from the Latin word Liber for "Book". Library is collection of books and other informational materials and make available to people for reading, study or reference.
