Abstract

Thomas Chatterton, a marvelous boy is a great poet and artist. As a genius he had an elevated soul and produced the work of the first order in the short span of his unhappy life. He dug deep into the legends as well as the actual history of Bristol. As a poet he had some ideals of life and so he wrote poetry though there was none to guide him. He took the path of self-teaching and his intellect guided him to attain perfection. As a poet he lived purely and virtuously and kept up his fair fame and followed his own self-organized code of the laws of honour. He led the life of a poet and philosopher and ever hoped for the best and anticipated the fairest prospects.
